I am the Wales Director of CEMVO. CEMVO works with marginalised communities and encourages them to become part of the wider and mainstream society. It also enables those who exist in isolation be have their voices heard at the policy tables and key debates/discussions All Wales Convention included!

What are your interests and hobbies?

I've been a reading addict since I was a child and I read anything from mysteries, horror to trashy chic lit (much to my husband's horror!!). I am also a foodie at heart having been brought up in a country where the national past time is eating!! I love trying new foods and also trying to convince friends and family to try new foods with me... unfortunately my success has been limited!!! Apparently not everyone loves raw fish!! I was part of an all girls band when I was living in Singapore and the stage was a big part of my life having been involved in musical theatre and singing in a bind. However this love is now limited to being part of the audience - musicals, plays, concerts...if its on a stage I'll probably love it

What are you most proud of?

Passing my two final exams in university. I had actually gotten married on a Monday and had to take my 2 most important papers on Tuesday and Wednesday morning. I actually brought my textbooks and notes to the wedding venue (very sad I know!!).

Tell us something about yourself that nobody else would know?

I cry when my favourite football team (Juventus) loses at big matches e.g. champions league finals, Serie A Championship decider matches!

If you were an animal, what would you be?

Having been brought up in a concrete jungle I am not an animal person. But if I had to pick one...it would be a black labrador because its my husband's and step-daughter's dream pet...which I have of course said no to!

Which three people (dead or alive) would you invite over for dinner?

Prophet Muhammad for a discussion on my faith, Owain Glyndwr to ask him what exactly happened after he 'disappeared' and most importantly a translator who can translate Arabic into English...and Welsh into English.

Why did you want be on the All Wales Convention Executive Committee?

To be able to be part of the debate on deciding the future of a country that I now call home.

What would you like to say to the people of Wales about the All Wales Convention?

Make sure they join in the debate and get their voices heard. This is their chance to be part of Welsh history.
