Options for devolution

The two options for devolution in Wales are either to:

  • keep the current arrangements, where the Assembly has some law making powers which can be increased to cover additional policy areas with the agreement of Westminster; or
  • give the Assembly a package of new law making powers in a range of defined policy areas, which would require a referendum.
