Caernarfon Community and Voluntary group event, 9 October 2008
Date of Event: 09/10/2008
The event was held at the Celtic Royal Hotel in Caernarfon and included representatives from 21 various community and voluntary groups in the area including Antur Waunfawr, the North Wales Business Club, Benllech Good Turn Scheme and Merched y Wawr Môn.
It was a lively and engaging event, with participants working together in small groups to consider a range of topics including what the Assembly had done so far, and what new powers might bring. It was the first opportunity for many of the participants to be involved in the work of the Convention and led to some lively discussion on what the advantages and disadvantages of having the Assembly had been for the region.
Talk amongst the people who attended afterwards was that they would be looking forward to the upcoming events planned for the new year in North Wales and would be encouraging their members to join in by either attending sessions or by responding in writing, by email, or by joining the discussion group on Facebook.
