Governance in Wales Conference – Executive Committee Event – 29 June, 2009
On Monday the 29th of June, Sir Emyr Jones Parry, Chair of the All Wales Convention took part in Capita’s 7th Annual Governance in Wales Conference at the Marriott Hotel, Cardiff.

The conference brought together far-reaching strategic and practical responses from the key local, regional and national public sector bodies challenged with delivering the Making the Connections agenda during this period of recession.
Sir Emyr delivered the closing keynote speech, titled, Progress of the All Wales Convention: Future implications for the governance of Wales and its primary law-making powers. This was followed by a lively question and answer session. At the end of the session Sir Emyr asked for a show of hands regarding views to law-making. The result of this very unscientific poll was:

- For more law-making powers - 30 people
- Not sure - 5 people
